Through Shade and Shadow!!

Today is the release date for Through Shade and Shadow!!  It is now available in both paperback and kindle!

Also, today is the day that my Goodreads Giveaway is open to enter. Sign up between now and midnight on the 10th of February for your chance at one of two signed books I’m giving away.

And, NEW, if you want to order an autographed copy from me, you can now do that on my facebook author’s page! All of my current works are listed, and there’s even an option to bundle all three for a discount.

I am very excited to share this book with you and rest assured I am hard at work on the sequel so hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.

Once you’ve read it, I hope you will consider leaving a review, whether on Amazon (US, UK, CA, AU, etc) or Goodreads.  Reviews are important in getting the book in front of more people.

As always, thanks for reading.  And maybe Saturday I’ll open up an Ask Me Anything kind of post.  I love hearing from you!

who wants free stuff?

To coincide with the formal release date on February 1, I have set up a Goodreads giveaway.  It opens for entry on 2/1 and closes on 2/10.  There are 2 signed books up for grabs this time around.

You can find the details and enter (on 2/1 or after) here: Goodreads Giveaway!

And while I’m linking you to things, I recently did character interviews for both Mason and Alaric on fellow author J.M Northrup’s blog:

Mason Jerah

Alaric Lambrecht

And a while back I did an interview for her as well, around the time I released Forever. You can read that here: Interview by J.M. Northrup.  That was a lot of fun too.  I hope I get to do more of these.

Speaking of which, my most recent interview was with fellow author Matthew Snee. Interview by Matthew Snee.

I hope this Saturday finds you warm and in the company of love.

start your engines

We’re getting closer to the release date of February 1st, and you can pre-order your Kindle version of Through Shade and Shadow right now.  You can also get a paperback from Amazon right now. If you have Amazon Prime, you could be reading it this weekend!

I find it a little amusing that I don’t even have my first copy of it (I should have it soon) and there are people who have purchased it and are reading it.

I wanted to do a local book launch party in February, but haven’t been able to secure a location yet.  I will, however, have a table at the Bay Area Book Fair in June in Berkeley.  For my Pagan fans, I will be at Pantheacon in San Jose February 17-20 and I’ll likely have copies on me, so if you see me and want one, please ask.

If you want a signed copy and aren’t local, I am working on getting a system set up to order directly from this site.  I hope to have it up and functional by the time I get my box of books.

I also have a giveaway set up on Goodreads.  It will open on the first of February.

And if you want to chat, come by my facebook page or hit up my Goodreads inbox.

forever for free

For a very limited time, 4 days to be exact, my book Forever is available on Kindle for FREE.

Yes, you read that right.  Today, January 9th through January 12th, you can get my first book for free on your Kindle.

Born in the dawn of man’s history, with forever laid out before her, Amara is neither human nor vampire and yet fully both; a killer, a child, a lover, a monster.

She wanders the world seeking redemption and vengeance in equal measure, discovering love in its many forms and loss in its deepest agony, as her life circles around two others who return to her again and again until their fates are set right.

“The ancient game is played out as three souls, born together in the lost pages of time, are as they were meant to be. But to tell that story, my story, I must go back to the beginning. To the time before I came to be.

Before any of us had come to be.”

everyone loves book recs & free stuff!

Just a reminder that my giveaway is open for you to jump into over on Goodreads.com.  I have two copies of Forever up for grabs.  Sign ups close on Halloween at midnight.

So far, more than 400 people have raised their hand to be included.

You can join the fun here on Goodreads.

While I have your attention, let me point you to some awesome work by other awesome women that I know:

Fellow Creativia author and friend, Susan-Alia Terry’s debut book is called Coming Darkness and it is so very well crafted.  Imagine if you will that Lucifer was never sent to hell, just banished from heaven.  And imagine him with a vampire for a lover.  Add in some political intrigue, some culture clash among the Otherkin and a grand mystery in the form of beings more powerful than God himself.  Her characters are brilliant and their story is vibrant and alive.

Another friend with a debut novel this year is K.B. Wagers, whose debut novel, Behind the Throne, is the sci-fi with a kickass female lead you didn’t even know you were waiting for.  The story begins with a gunrunner with a secret past finding her past catching up to her and whether she wants to or not, she’s going to have to face up to everything she left behind. What follows is a roller coaster space epic that leaves you white knuckled and breathless.  Get it now, because the sequel, After the Crown drops on December 13th.

One last one for today.  If you dig sassy female protagonists, check out my friend, and one time critique partner, Carlye Knight’s first book, Confessions of a Failed Preacher’s Daughter.  The story takes the form of the main character’s blog and it revels in all the emotions of being a teenager, amplified through the megaphone of being a PK (preacher’s kid).

There you have it.  Go sign up!  Go read!

a giveaway and a 5-star Review

Today is the day that my giveaway opens for entry over on Goodreads. It runs now through October 31st and the winners get a signed copy mailed to them direct from me!

In other news, I’ve been anticipating my first professional review on pins and needles, and I got word this morning that it was ready.  The website Reader’s Favorite has a reputation for honest and fair reviews, and they have a waiting list three miles long.

Reviewer Kathryn Bennett gave Forever a wonderful 5 Star review, which you can view on their site.

They also run a book contest every year, which I have entered.  Excitement abounds!

who wants a vampire story for Halloween?

It’s the time of year when people turn their eyes to scary stories, to Gothic tomes of vampires and witches and other dark things…well, I do that all year round, but others come to them at this time of year.  What better time than now to explore Forever?

The book has been getting some wonderful reviews.  The most recent review says, “Forever by Natalie Case is dark and dramatic vampire story. If readers are looking for something different than the typical teen angst vampire novels, Forever is worth checking out.”  A fellow author said, “Natalie’s writing is like poetry and adds a new freshness to vampire fiction.”

Does that whet your appetite?  Starting on Friday, you can enter to win one of two signed copies over on Goodreads.  The winners will be drawn on October 31st.

Or, if you wanted to get your hands on it before then, you could hop over to Amazon to buy your copy, in either Kindle or paperback.

If you wanted a signed copy, you can Paypal me $20 (covers the book and shipping for domestic US addresses) to natalie@nataliejcase.com. Just be sure to include your mailing address and what name you want me to use in personalizing.  If you’re outside of the states, email me first so I can get you mailing rates.

I should get myself back to work.  Happy Wednesday, Readers!

How about a giveaway?

Happy Independence Day, American readers!  Happy Monday for the rest of you.

I’m planning for a quiet day here in northern California. Some book promo, some writing, and getting caught up on Game of Thrones (I’m just starting season 6 today).  I hope you have some plans for whatever makes you happy.

Starting on Sunday, July 10 I will be having a giveaway on Goodreads. I have two autographed copies I’m going to give away.  It opens for entries on Sunday, July 10th at Midnight and closes for entries on the 18th.

I’ll post links on the home page before the contest is open.
